According to site traffic, every month they receive 479,370 unique views, with nearly six million viewers each year. The company launched in 2016 and has had thousands of articles, posts and blogs written in the last eight years. Getting promotion in the show Keeping Up With the Kardashians  which has pulled audience sizes of over one million per weekly episode. In 2018, the series garnered 1,443,000 viewers in five days (Forbes). According to GrowJo, Good American averages at 87.5 million dollars in revenue yearly. This is a successful company because of the founder, the media reach of Khloe and the Kardashians, but also the quality of the clothing products.

 

Khloe Kardashian has 304 million instagram followers, and Good American has 2.4 million instagram followers; both accounts have over ten percent follower interaction. This brand is POPULAR and that is because of the PR that Khloe ran during the business development. She made extended size ranges that catered to all bodies, as Khloe had a past with her weightloss journey. She spoke of experiences of being unable to shop with her siblings and now makes it contractually impossible for stores to carry her brand if they do not sell the entire size range that must be displayed on the same floor as the straight sizes. Her website has model views in sizes small through size 20 so that shoppers have the chance to see the clothing on a body similar to themselves. This brand is size inclusive and represents the reality of having a body. Her ad campaigns feature models of different sizes, ethnicities, instagram fame, and physical ability. Much like Fenty Beauty by Rhianna reset the standard for shade ranges in the makeup world, Good American as a whole reset the sizing and body representation standard for online and in person shopping for jeans and other clothes.

 

Because of this, since 2016 Good American has entered the hauls and reviews that flooded Youtube, Twitter, Instagram Reels and Tik Tok. Influencers who both purchased and got sent PR packages have given reviews to their thousands and some even millions of followers. This organization has reached. And due to the impactful change, it is successful and has been in minimal if not any scandals. This is because it is enmeshed within the Kardashian name, but it also successfully can stand on its own, and when Kardashian waters are shaky, Good American continues to be successful and stand on its own two feet.

 

The two recommendations that I have for this organization is to first clarify their Black Owned status through press releases and social media conversation. Conversation meaning, reels or interviews with the co-founder explaining the claim– no matter how obvious; publics have already been upset. The second is to branch into a sustainability initiative. This will create positive buzz and also bring to light things previously spoken about in passing but it will now become concrete in print on their website.
